That's the Chinese culture. I live in Hong Kong, visit China from time to time and I see it everywhere. In the West, we politely pretend that we don't care about material wealth. The Chinese, on the other hand, spend lots of time

I learned Vim on qwerty, then switched to Dvorak and re-learned the positions and I'm pretty fast again. Using it with qwerty is like being on drugs, though.

I went to the science museum (don't know what is it called exactly) in Barcelona and there they have demonstrations of many laws of physics, such as if you are spinning and extend your hands, you will slow down and vice versa. There were de

Hehe, I love this. I have been doing something similar, writing a compiler of Scheme-like language to x86 in Haskell. https://bitbucket.org/quiark/hsc The whole purpose of that mental gymnastics was to learn x86 assembly while practicing

There was also an article here about him. It's true that he is probably unstable, but on the other hand, the software he writes is quite impressive.

I'm using it as a media center (XBMC), but this http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php?title=OpenELEC_Boblight_ad... looks like a nice project as well: 1. create an array of colrful LEDs 2. connect to GPIO of RPi 3. fun!

I bought an electric guitar, like many metal fans do, but I don't play it very well. Yet it's great for relaxing relieving stress.. What I found very interesting was that my kung-fu teacher plays the guitar too, and very well.
