The thing I hate about kindle (hardware) being a loss leader is that it requires Amazon to keep it locked down so that you can ONLY buy content through them. I'd rather pay for it up-front and actually have an open e-book market on the back

Have you tried Ctrl+S or selecting 'Save page as...' from the wrench menu? I'm running the dev build so I don't know whats in beta or stable, but I get a nice little dialog box to save the pdf.

If we're talking human usability a dash(-) is a single keystroke while an underscore (_) is a shifted keystroke. I find the former faster to type when actually entering URLs in the address bar.
