One thing that amazes me about physics, and of which i'm reminded by things like this, is how much information can pass through a small patch of space and time. It might have taken the photographer a while to sequentially photograph the ent

True, but this still places some constraints on the rest of the company. Said random contacts will eventually need to pass some info on internally and get answers to report back to external organizations.

"Its probably articles like this one that pushed TSA to go to its current extreme." This logic is flawed. Security by obscurity isn't security. If the article wasn't published someone sufficiently clever just as well could have come up wit

I think the "uncopyrighted" statement could be misleading. Does Leo really intend to mean that the free version of the book is being released into the public domain or is he simply highlighting the fact that it's not locked down with DRM.

Microsoft had already started backpedaling with it's "that's not hacking" comment to Gamespot. "Kinect for Xbox 360 has not been hacked--in any way--as the software and hardware that are part of Kinect for Xbox 360 have not been modified. W

There isn't a reason that the military can't test weaponry, they just usually do it in quarantined areas or with notice to the public.

So, looking back through my notes it turns out I just wrote things out much more frequently than I used the keyboard. Negating the legibility bonus. Here's a page from my Signals and Systems class notes from '08 http://www.scribd.com/doc/4

You don't even need malicious intent. Mishandle the computer while it's plugged in to the stick and you'd likely damage it pretty quickly.
