I like the Farrimond Friction Hitch[0] for this. It's essentially a quick release Prussik tied with the working end. You can use a toggle, or slip a second bight through the first to prevent accidental untying. Big benefit is that it i

I've tried Joplin but have stuck with standard notes for now. Joplin is very good and has basic things like ctrl+f for finding withing a document that Standard Notes lack, but end to end encryption is baked in to SN where as it's

I agree with you regarding crashes. Kdenlive has been much more stable for me but I don't really like it. Can't say exactly why but it just feels clunky.

What kind of odd question is that? If, as your tone implies, you believe that every teenager knows everything and it's not possible for some of them to have not heard or these things, then you must in fact be a teenager yourself.

That's good to know. I've only just switched 48 hours ago, so this is something I'll look at. I had them handle my DNS for that domain so I'm assuming this won't require any extra setup.

You can use aliases. You get 600 aliases with Fastmail for example. But really you could just set up a 'catch all' and have everything routed to one inbox, then use filters to filter the emails to separate folders. So emails to $P

I'm not convinced we can look to China for any 'truth' in this outbreak. None of the numbers there are verifiable and the Chinese government doesn't exactly have great credibility.

Pretty sure you misinterpreted that comment. It's not suggesting that they pressured the devs to stop work, it says they were pressured to stop making it so awesome. The inference being that they were pressured to weaken the product an

I use Rohan Overlanders. They are pretty lightweight but warm enough when moving. 6 pockets that fit an OS map :-) They dry extremely quickly and you can give them a wash in tech wash to give them a bit dwr. I think they hit a good balance

It's gotten to the point where you have to put a brand name into a search if you ever want to see traditional 'quality' manufacturers. Put a search term in now for something like 'waterproof gloves' and have a laugh

I feel like this secret is being kept alive by a dwindling community unfortunately. I have a great Montane Extreme Jacket, similar to the Buffalo one but with a better hood and not a pullover smock. I had a Buffalo about 15 years ago too. T

Not sure exactly where you are in the world but EDZ make excellent merino t-shirts that can be worn day to day. I have 3 of the short sleeve crews and about to get some of the polos. https://www.edzlayering.com/

Don't focus on the literal meaning of the word 'secret' too much. Secret can be used colloquially to mean 'unseen' or less commonly 'that which is not widely known but not technically secret'. It's a
