The sizes of the four GPT-3 variants were shared on Reddit by Stella Athena, one of the researchers behind GPT Neo: https://www.reddit.com/r/MachineLearning/comments/ma9kaw/p_e...

It's "surprising" since in the article, the 2.7B parameter model (Ada) didn't even produce sentences, while the result from 2.7B GPT Neo is closer in quality to what was output from GPT-3 Babbage (6.7B parameters). As yo

I tried the same prompt on the open-source recreation of OpenAI GPT-3 -- GPT Neo ( https://github.com/EleutherAI/gpt-neo ), specifically on their 2.7B model -- which should correspond to the smallest model in the article

Did anyone manage to successfully run inference in the provided Google Colab ( https://colab.research.google.com/github/EleutherAI/GPTNeo/b... )? I can run training, but can't manage to make the inference

I have a question regarding how you render "gray" pixels. You said that you use rectangles, because "dithered" pattern had low performance. But the rectangles cause "scanlines", which I presume are because of i

I agree with you, but we live in a world where we need to be grateful for webpages that use standards-based OTP, and don't see 2FA as just another opportunity to make you install their mobile app. (Looking at Steam and many others...)

I'm torn about using the password manager for OTP. All the eggs in a single basket. But I've seen some security people recommend it...

Also Aegis supports Steam OTP. In a little hacky way, but it allows me to not have the Steam app installed.

Most services with OTP use "backup codes", which you are supposed to back up securely. Now, what's the difference to backing up the actual OTP "seed" or how is it called -- either by saving the original QR code, or

I use Aegis, that has backup to (encrypted) file, thus you can use own infra.

But the amount of USD you get varies by BAT-USD exchange rate, e.g. you actually get paid in BAT, correct? I must admit that I find this business model genius: replace website ads with your ads, pocket the revenue, and "pay" users

"Founding news" like these aren't really that exciting -- I'll be excited once one of these "modular laptop / phone" companies manages to last a few years and actually deliver on their promises.

I am very happy with Bitwarden. Fully open-source (including the server), free tier has everything I need (and the premium is just $10 a year), self-hostable (and there are even alternative server implementations). The UI isn't "s

Bitwarden is awesome. I use the free version and it covers all that I need. All the clients and the server are open-source, you can self-host it for free, and there are even alternative server implementations like https://github.

There's https://epiverse.co/ , which automatically loads comments for the current URL from Reddit/HN -- so basically what you wished for, but piggybacking on an existing ecosystem.

Firefox Relay seems easier to use, thanks to the one-click generated emails by the browser extension and the fact that the emails arrive in your actual inbox. But I agree that the domain is going to land on all the blacklists -- I hope they

Brave users seem to parrot all sorts of nonsensical marketing lingo. I remember being told that Brave is the first browser to support "Web 3.0", with no explanation what was that supposed to mean.

It has some rudimentary vector support, though. It is possible to create a SVG layer and even apply effect layers to it -- most notably, text is handled that way.

I have tried Hyperapp some time ago. It's usable for small apps, but the lack of ecosystem makes it unfit for anything larger -- as is usual for all niché JS frameworks. Funnily, the "ecosystem" page contains just Lorem Ipsum
