there was a lot of bold, revolutionary thinking in the early days of crypto, and definitely a lot of naivety. There still is, but the realities of the world have tempered it a bit. but yeah, basically.

The difference here is that the DAO was openly asserting the claim that it would surpass the need for lawyers and the legal system. That software-enforced contracts were all you needed. Traditional software makes no such claim.

This is cool, but might actually decrease attendance. I've been in some IMAX seats I definitely would not have bought if I'd known how acute the screen angle would be. I wonder if theaters will be interested.

What a shame it would be if he'd removed it. Pyspark now makes great use of lambdas, and I'd strongly argue that having to name every function argument would be strictly worse.

I believe the point was if you like your cleaner, you could contract with them directly the next time. Of course, there's probably some protection from going through the service, so not entirely true.
