In my experience with these, when I've heard the first indicator to do it, the damage is done. Standard regular maintenance hasn't identified the issue in advance. I'd be curious to see whether long term monitoring of particu

Ford (Aus) 4.0 was a great first build for me. I'm now taking my time on a Toyota 4K 1300cc, learning a lot more, and taking the time to design new components for it. Can't recommend it highly enough, though not for everyone to be

I was trained in Australia, in the past decade, and was taught thoroughly in both metric and imperial. The engineers and machinists I have worked with that insist metric is the only way habe been more prone to mistakes when imperial compone

I had alternating margin issue sorted out for my thesis, and remember it being easy once I figured it out. Can't for the life ofme remember what it was right now though.

Yeah, that works, thanks. As a previously homeless person, those arguments don't tend to inspire me.

I still need to convince my bank to let me back date a loan to 1980 and buy some land. I'm sure that would be a big help.

Wicked, thanks. It is the exact kind of nonsense I had pieced it together to be. A reverse 'okay boomer', if you will, but where you don't get accused of being ageist for saying it.

Do you have any more information regarding the great barrier reef and avocado fields? I haven't heard about a link there. I'm also not sure I follow some other parts. 'Smashed avocado' is used derisively for young people

In my work, that means a glue bond failed in fabrication. I like the direction you're going though. Thanks

I genuinely do not understand this 'smashed avocado' thing. I get told I love them once every few months, and was recently told I wouldn't get a home loan because of them. I've never had one, yet it seems to be a derisiv

This is perfect timing. I've just been told to communicate a significant project delay to a customer. 'Next quarter' sounds a lot better than 'months, not weeks'. Thanks heaps.

I've reported similar misconduct before. Was told the claims were very concerning, and that there was a quite clear problem that would be investigated. A few months later, I was informed the problem had been resolved, though on inspect

I've done this on hiking trips. Passing by a cellar door during the day, decanting into PET, then savouring it over the next few evenings.

I'll take this over a zero for most of my applications, purely because of power cuts. While there plenty of io on both, not having to worry about my SD card getting corrupted because the power got pulled is really important.

Big time bad for business. I'm five months into a contract and five months behind schedule because of a bully. At risk of losing the contract (and subsequently my job), and are already burning bridges with the (well funded) client.

Just for fun, I'm working on some performance transmission parts for quicker gear shifts. I'm using basic 3d printing and laser cutting to prototype, hoping to move on to manually machined aluminium soon before go to CNC steel.

I would put a high quality HUD in my weekend car in an instant, if I could find one. I love the way they can communicate information efficiently. Still haven't found anything I would remotely call acceptable and available though.

I used to have the Wikipedia database on a micro SD card in a pendant. There was something overly satisfying with having such a massive encyclopaedia hanging as jewellery.

Where it applies, the 'quick unpick' is my friend there. Obviously doesn't apply to printed things. I've received a lot of snobbery in both directions when hiking though. Edit: they're also one of my favourite tools
