The Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk autonomous regions have high percentages of ethnic Russians and voted for Russian sovereignty. In Donetsk 99.2% voted for Russian sovereignty. I would say it's fine to invade those regions

And the Russian invasion has been eight years in the making since the US-backed Maidan Coup of 2014. It's cause and effect all the way down.
