I'm actually interested in using an iPad as an occasional display for a Linux box (with hardware dongle for better performance). Any plans to support this? Is it already possible and I just haven't heard of it?

Works for me on iOS 13.4. Even have 1Blocker installed; didn't have to disable. Edit: This looks pretty great, but I should probably point out that it turned my 5.5 mile commute into a 8.5 mile one. Realize it's probably trying to

I'll add to this: for me, the office game was (eventually, after many years) a gateway into more serious playing at the club. Yeah, I'm now a better player than most at work, but I wouldn't say work games aren't interest

The TextBlade from WayTools ( https://waytools.com ) looks promising but they never seem to ship anything. I've been waiting for most of a year.

Also the article is light on details and mostly just links to this blog post: https://didrocks.fr/2019/10/11/ubuntu-zfs-support-in-19.10-z...

If you're still monitoring and have the time @JC5, I was just curious about your data model. I see that there tags, categories, and budgets. I understand the differences between these, and why they are presented as different concepts.

What are the differences between this and the previous rhel and rhel-minimal images? Distribution terms (and some subset of packages with different licensing) only? That's no small thing, but I want to make sure I'm not missing so

I commented earlier about buying a used Leaf instead of the car in the article. I just wanted to mention that it's a great bicycle alternative for me too. Used to bike to work before I had four kids going different places.

Like the other commenter, I've never heard of a battery lease. Just bought it outright. For what it's worth I had the choice to pay a bit more to get a different Leaf that had a new battery (replacement under warranty). Given that

At that price point I'd enthusiastically recommend a three year old Nissan Leaf; that's about what I paid and it's served me well.

Hey, didn't know about Streaks Workout but I do love Streaks so I'll be giving that a shot. I noticed when reading the reviews that what seemed to be a common complaint was that the randomization would repeat an exercise type too

In my opinion, it's perfectly fine either way unless you're worried about performance. I personally tend to try to use the more performant option when there's a choice, but a lot of times it just doesn't matter. That sai

The readme used to say that ansible-container was no longer in active development ( https://github.com/ansible/ansible-container/commit/2fa778a7... ), but it appears to not be the case now.

I can’t fault a low-level employee too much for enthusiastically defending their company. I can’t expect someone at that level to know about sound development practices. What’s often lacking though is a clear path for reporting security iss

One possibility could be that they store only the first four characters plaintext, and keep a hash of the whole password (which is also bad). I wonder how this feature came to be? What were those meetings like?

Something more habit-like that I am still trying to cultivate: log what you do. It's really useful to be able to look up what you did when. It helps with reviews/invoices, and it helps you get better at estimating how long it take

Make it easy to verify what you have written works. This can be done in several ways, and which ones to use depends on the people you're working with and what access to the production code you have. Debug log levels are a popular way t

I will likely never be a subscriber, since I don't like coffee. I'd love to have a good instant option to offer to guests without having to own a coffeemaker that I'll never use otherwise, have to store, etc.
