I refuse to put Skype on my phone, I'm not a fan. But I've never seen something like the Skype on HoloLens before. It works really well, and the person you're calling can interact with your 3D space from their computer. You c

So are we made at China for continuing to use both barrels on the environment? Trump, for being in office a few months? Or is this existential hate we all have for ourselves?

I'm the first person in my family to even graduate high school, so I don't have any family stories. But I had a female professor that announced to the whole class that she strives to make sure no men get above a C in her classroom

I'm not saying we should shoot for Mars, just that until we reach the point of being able to do round-trips and step up the solutions, it sounds like an awful idea to go there. The VR is just a personal wish that I think would be great

It seems like gravity is the biggest factor that the pie in the sky posts always seem to gloss over. As you said, living in the low of gravity, for the rest of your life, has to have untold issues on bodies that evolved here. It would also

That's a nice infographic and all, but we're not talking about that level of tolerance. Tolerance of a website that has some words and pictures on it, or tolerating someone saying something you disagree with on a college campus, i

For me it was even more distressing that this is somehow a thing you can do, but you can only go 3 levels then something completely different happens. Why 3? Why not 15? For something like this to be the case, it would require the brain phy

I haven't heard any touting from the middle in support of any agenda. But the free marketplace of ideas doesn't work if there are exceptions. Dumb ideas should be loud and clear so everyone has the opportunity to hear how dumb the

Maybe you have a point, I should look into this and see if there are forums where women are trying to push into this field. I have family that works on off-shore rigs, and I've never heard a peep about it. But that is anecdotal.

I find myself weighing whether it's better to get the unemotional, unadulterated statement from a President or the focus-grouped, feel-good, superficial statement. I can see why someone would prefer either side, but I find both wanting

I'm left wondering these same kind of issues every time there's a Mars habitation post. Having a third the gravity, microscopic dust, and a complete lack of nature (or Internet) seems to be trivial to some people.
