I'm sure the work was solid, yet not his. To weave him into this story with that stupid tagline "the most dangerous man on the Internet" with the insinuation he was some kind of hacker... is garbage journalism.

I'm aware of no evidence that sugar, as such, causes cancer directly. However excessive use (which means 'normal' consumption in our society) definitely damages your immune system and other systems. This cannot be helpful whe

I was hesitant to write this, as I did. It's not a call for passive acceptance. There are a lot of moments when we patients need to prod and push our doctors and nurses. The machine tends to be slow and can miss important things. The p

I was lucky enough to get one via contacts. I'd expect though that you can find designers online and see their portfolios before making a serious commitment.

I use a similar flow for my own books, except Perl scripts instead of Pandoc. Starting with a markdown-style text format is so nice. One thing with LibreOffice is that you can generate documents, they are just XML zipped up. So my tools pro

HN is overall polite and mature, especially compared to Reddit. Yet it can't escape its background culture. Some truths will always be taboo.

You're simply shifting the goal posts to try to keep others from scoring. There is no "idea". There are hundreds of thousands of small incremental steps.

Yes, this seems to be the case. The whole concept of social judgment is alien to a mind that sees society as a collection of meals.

Speaking as the author, there were certainly moments when I questioned my own state. That is part of the path, it seems. And indeed, most of us do harm at some point, yet are absolutely not psychopaths.

Yes, GSL is the successor. It's a living project on github. It is relatively easy to generate state machines in GSL, e.g. https://github.com/CodeJockey/glar150/blob/master/src/fsm_c.... . This
