I absolutely agree with everything you wrote (particularly the last paragraph, as a Duluth MN resident nothing will beat the view over Superior) Nothing is wrong with the path these students are choosing, I just don't see business anal

Reverse argument, for context, I'm just about to graduate from a mediocre state university in the mid-west: Not all of the young minds that are "learning to code" really have the potential to write programs at the same level

This is a terrible reason. These men were the definition of the type of thing a system like this should catch. intelligence agencies had been warned about one of them multiple times and they were both using the internet to self radicalize.

I have to assume it was traded as part of a deal with the prosecution. He made plenty of blunders, but if he had legitimately messed up with the encryption or storage of these coins it would make much more sense that they would have found t

Most times when one person "loses" cash another person "finds" it, leaving the money supply unchanged. When a private key is lost all the coins in that wallet are lost effectively forever. If this happens with large acco

That completely depends on how they were stored. If the FBI has his encrypted wallet file and DPR has the password to access those keys then the coins are effectively dead don't you think?

My pet theory is that a good amount of the early coins are effectively "dead" with either the keys lost, brain wallets forgotten or the back-up USB keys long since formatted (or you know, you got arrested and the encrypted wallet

Go look at the top 250 addresses, a _majority_ of them have never been spent from. There isn't any conclusive proof that the #1 address (111,111 BTC) belongs to DPR, but it is clearly linked to SR in one way or another. I'd be wi

The current owner stated this was the case in an interview he gave after the FBI had already found and imaged the server hosting Silk Road. Given the information released today this claim seems to be false in every way.
