Wikipedia agrees with me? So it's hardly an outrageous position.

Wikipedia disagrees? Yes, the colloquial usage often implies poor/lower class or physical labor, but it's not the only use of the term. (Just like the phrase 'Middle Class' has really fuzzy boundaries in the US.)

"Right" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Reagan was correct that the strikes may have been illegal, but I wouldn't say that Reagan was "right" to fire all the workers.

The military and police have a long history of being deployed against workers in the US. In at least one case firing upon striking coal workers. Companies like the Pinkertons have been using violence against striking workers for a long time

It's not so simple, unfortunately. Yes, in an ideal world I would agree with you -- criticism, when deployed reasonably, is not harassment. But let's look at some concrete ways this could break down. I'm going to use HN as an

XState is incredible when combined with something like Svelte. I've seen it used to power videogame UIs (huds, health bars, menus, etc.) for a AAA shooter. The really nice thing about working with it is that all your components get muc

English may not be your first language? I think you have perhaps unintentionally said something extremely offensive. Trans women are women. Trans women were born men, but they are not pretending.

Is that due to education? Lack of understanding of the trans experience? Given that the number of trans people out there is already fairly small (single digit percentages), I wouldn't expect trans awareness to be wide. Especially inter

Genuine attempt to answer: It's seen as humorous or weird that a man would want to appear to be a young woman. It's unclear in this case whether the person being photographed is trans. This article is not a tech demo or deep dive,

FYI, you've used a slur -- Tr*p is a slur for transgender folks often used in association with porn. You may want to either clarify your meaning (in case you are using the word in a different meaning) or choose a different word.

It's not just that Amazon is not contributing back -- they are not contributing back at scale. They are consuming at scale. They have the scale to distort the established understanding of how a thing works. Like, we've all seen th
