If you don't mind expanding a little, I'd be interested to know why they're not suited to combinatorial optimization, and what they are in fact more suited to?

Fair enough to wanting the 'why' and 'how' be self explanatory, but the site doesn't even convey 'what' it is. A line of text could do that in the least. Having to listen to a audio message to get any idea of the content would perhaps be a

It would be great if the links I've already read either changed colour or moved/were hidden - synchronized by my user account. I currently read HN on my work machine, home machine and phone - so it's hard to know what's new at a glance.

Looks good. One issue is that my intuition was to click on a shape, then click and drag in the middle of the white space in order to add it (like Microsoft autoshapes). Much clicking and double clicking later, I happened across the drag and
