It looks excellent and addresses all the issues I have with json, yaml, XML and co, but developers love to use "simple" technologies that then cause unending pain later due to being too simple. So I wonder if this will see much u

I guess you'll still get ads, they just won't be personalized. Just like how windows does it when you opt out of tracking.

Yeah. But maybe game devs should finally realize their game is not the only application on my computer and make HD textures an optional download. Games look fine without them and with every modern game using TAA anyway, things will be blur

And yet every time someone praises EU big tech regulations here, someone from the US inevitably complains it’s just the EU being anticompetitive and that they should also deregulate so they can have big tech of their own. The things we lear

I just wish the de facto standard framework, ASP.net core, was more of a batteries included kind of thing. Diving into an ASP.net application not written by you is frustrating because it’s almost like its own framework you need to learn.

That’s not because of Go, that’s because of protected mode and virtual memory. If run on a system that doesn’t have that, Go could absolutely read and write to system memory.

I wonder why that is. Do App Store Applications get extra privileges? Why isn’t being signed enough for an application to store secrets only it can access in the keychain?

Is there even a way to opt in to having a secret be accessible only for your process? Like, a way to maybe sign your executable and then use a windows api that then gets "oh. This process is made by the same vendor that created this se

This three class developer system on iOS is ridiculous. There's the normal developer who can do little more on iOS that you couldn't also do with a web app. There's the "blessed" developer with special entitlements

I don’t think apple wants us to play games with Wine and Game Porting Toolkit. Especially not games on Steam. Apple wants developers to use it to port their games to macOS (using Metal) and distribute them on the App Store (only).
