I had the same feeling when I saw GetAround launch (car-sharing). But then I thought about it some more, and realised I'm way more attached to my apartment then my car, and AirBnb seems to work just fine..

I guess it quite depends on the type of assets. On our bill in the largest region, requests are about 77% of the total price. Motivates me to look into combining assets at some point :). (base64 encoding images in CSS etc).

I wonder if this will mean cloudfront pricing will come down as well. Suddenly it's a lot cheaper to host your assets on S3, without putting cloudfront in front of it.

To what extend is it two factor when one of the factors is the device you are working on? One of the biggest risks I see with iCloud is someone finding/stealing my phone, and using it to erase other devices. A code send to my phone won't p

Thanks for explaining! That sounds like a great idea. From what I read, Glass does have Wifi & GPS, but no cell connectivity. Millions of pics of the sky sounds like a great challenge to process. OTOH, even without processing it would

We have just crossed 2 billion items in our datastore. While not 3 billion yet, I expect that to happen later this year. Too bad Redshift can't handle JSON files: Converting everything will be annoying.
