I think people should still think of TW as classes, because they are, and it doesn't need to be more complex than that. Thinking of TW as inline styles is harmful imo, the specificity works differently and there are a number of things

A fly outage? This almost never happens.. My SaaS is down and I'm pretty upset, not for the first time. It's time to migrate.

This is a short read - https://overreacted.io/goodbye-clean-code/ But it captures it perfectly, a large number of engineers go from jr to intermediate with their new found tricks. Except they cling to these tricks like

I used this before and it was really decent, actually had it as a build step on some dev preview stuff. Only moved to basic auth because getting it to remember people through re-deploys was a faff so it became annoying when it wasn’t workin

This might be the most "zoomed in" take on programming I've ever read (where a zoomed out take understands that software usually just enables a business to do business). I almost thought it was satire. I feel like you have to

Why do people build video players with no volume control, it has to be one of the worst UX choices in common practice.

Good luck with that. Sure it's data, it's the worst possible data you could choose to make an informed decision. If you want to gain insight by selectively reported, highly biased reports of a tiny sample size, go for it.

We could do anecdotes all day. Unless there is hard data on how brittle or robust these devices are it all seems a bit pointless.

It’s interesting, the more we agree and hold strong, the higher the demand grows for engineers who would help some companies create their hellscape. The incentive will grow higher and higher until people break rank. And you start over.

From a data security perspective. How difficult is it to do a quick pass on the output before it's presented to the user, eg `if output == internalPrompt` or some distance metric at least. Anyway we can't be sure this is truly the

I’ll be bullish on fly when the awful outages stop. They had a hardware outage in the LHR region for a month, it was probably longer but I moved to a different provider so I haven’t bothered to check.

I’ve just realised you understood and we’re asking present tense I think. The truth is I also do less unit testing, identifying instead where I know confidence is needed and where it’s not.
