I did this for a desktop app I wrote. The liver kept an in memory ring buffer and when there was an unexpected error, it would dump all the previous debug level logs to give context to the error.

Maybe we should separate infrastructure from service. A company may build the lines but cannot provide consumer services. My brother tells me that Japan is like this and service is quite good.

"you must have broken the terms" Is this attitude prevalent in Google: pure trust in automated systems? Engineers should know better than any that software is not perfect and it's insane to have blind trust in it.

They could have also used inputs from other systems as a sanity check such as altitude, air speed, pilot input, etc. I'm really surprised the software didn't take any other available data into consideration.

I can't believe that they built that system to rely on a single sensor without taking into account any other data, such as the pilot's control stick, change in altitude, airspeed, etc. I would not like to be the engineer responsi

That change was to fix a vulnerability, hence why it was made to the LTS version. A flag was later added to make it customizable (after they realized it broke stuff).

I don't work in California and it took me a while to figure out what FAANG stands for. Have you guys ever thought that you're just in a bubble that's not representative of the industry as a whole?

I couldn't get past #2. Does that mean I'm a bad programmer or just missing the experience for the particular field? My point is that questions should be tailored to the work the programmer is expected to perform.

That's not exactly what I meant. I was thinking something along the lines of a more universal way for npm to serve up compatible code without the package publisher having to pre-compile everything to make it compatible with every poss

I've always thought that we should publish our sources to NPM, then during the `npm install` phase, the sources would be compiled (if needed) to your project's settings.

In Part 1, the author claims that WebAssembly is not a stack machine. In Part 2, when discussing `goto`, he says, "WebAssembly is a stack machine." Part 2 contains no explanation about the contradiction with Part 1.

I'm really not a fan, but recently I noticed that WebStorm (IntelliJ) supports it and when looking down to find the F7 key (find all references), I was pleasantly surprised to see the option right there on the TouchBar. Now, if I could

I've been using Input for years. Specifically, I've been using Input Sans Compressed. Yes, it's a proportional font. I've gotten so used to it that monospaced fonts feel like there's just way too much whitespace.

With IPv4 you don't HAVE to buy a domain for your local network. You can do just fine with IP addresses. With IPv6, you probably will need to just to make it sane. That adds a whole new step, and a complex one that most people (gener
