I suspect that this is actually a bug in iPadOS. I've had issues with the USB-C to 3.5mm dongle, including a period of time in which it was completely non-functional. But then a week ago I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my i

Yeah, so my thought when I bought it was to offer to sell it back to Disney for $25k or something. I could most likely get a pro-bono defense while Disney would pay a lot more than that in a lawsuit which I would most likely win. Most lik

At a rummage sale a few years ago, I bought a book published by Disney in the 1960s or 1970s which had instructions on how to make Mickey Mouse puppets. It also said to "have fun" making them. Selling things for a profit is a lo

Back in the day, almost all cell phones had a miniature coax port on them. They were "hidden" in that you probably had to pry off some nondescript part or open the battery cover up or something. This is how we tested mobile netwo

> Developers are your biggest cost This is unlikely to be true. Bad decisions are your biggest cost. An employee has a "return multiplier" - for every dollar you spend on them, what is the return to the business? Sometimes it

I guess the issue I have is that you have mentioned "cheap gamble" and "if things work out". This is not what they are claiming, except in the fine print. Institutions that last a long time plan for changes in managemen

I think that this is a pretty fair rebuttal, but I'm not sure I personally am convinced. First of all, this entity is inviting the comparison and second, they are saying that $10 is all you need to have something stored in perpetuity.

The term that I think you are looking for is called "deaccessioning" and Wikipedia has what I believe is a good page about it. Sometimes there are conditions, and the museum may have to go to court to be allowed to move forward (

People who give money to museum and university endowments typically attach conditions that are very much meant to be litigated if they are ever violated. The recipient expects this. They don't make promises to donors, they sign contr

The Swift Playgrounds app has meant that a swift compiler has existed on the iPad for years. Will the XCode app mean just Swift, or will it allow for Objective-C and C/C++? It will be interesting to see how this progresses.

Many smartwatches have the hardware to measure oxygen saturation, though not all have it enabled. For example, all Apple Watches have hardware for it, and rumors (from before Covid was declared a pandemic) suggested that the next OS versio

In the aftermath of 9/11, nobody wanted to live in skyscrapers. But that fear soon faded and prices went back up. It's probably too early to tell if this is a lasting trend.

And the Apple Watch already has rudimentary controls for iPhone cameras built in. Without too much effort, it should be possible to have some broadcast-focused control in place, possibly even coordinated/controlled by the broadcaster.

My wife prefers the SE as well, and I got a couple spares by offering whatever the trade-in value was plus $10 or $20 for great condition phones. You might be able to still find some and at this point they'll only cost you $50 or less.
