Java 8 is still widely used, it seems. For example, Mojang (owned by Microsoft) still ship Java8 with Minecraft. Pretty sure 8 still gets updates in 2020 too.

It's already non-employees (there's little to no entry barrier for DoorDash, Postmates, etc). They just don't want to have to deal with delivery logistics, easier and cheaper to outsource it to the existing companies.

Because the engine is proprietary in Epic land, and it's not here. Here I can make any changes I want and still release the engine as a fork. I can't sell that fork. In the case of the Epic engine, you're not allowed to fork

And I appreciate them for the work they've done too! But that's not an exact one-to-one here. There's no point in attacking a project that has an honest desire to give to the community like this post has been doing.

It's not excluding commercial use entirely, though. It's free to use, free to modify. But not free to steal, make a change, and resell.

Seriously, this +100000000%. King giving this much to the community with such a tiny clause that most people won't mind (you can't take their engine, make a change, and resell it) is so pedantic that I feel like there will be real

The Dehashed indexer is extremely slow, according to their FAQ. Mine hasn’t showed up there yet either, but I was informed by HIBP. Could still be indexing I suppose.

Ugh. IBM bought SoftLayer and have been slowly destroying it with bureaucracy since then. I had a support agent tell me the other day "all servers become unstable after 90 days." I miss the old support team :(. These days it'

The curious thing is not _everything_ is obscured. Namely, `Attorneys for Plaintiff Tesla, Inc. ` isn't. Either is `Identifying Critical Infrastructure During Covid-19` So eventually this is probably going to get indexed by Google. EDI

I have to wonder if there's any rules that would be violated by crap like this in the courts. It's 100% to prevent other lawyers from copy-pasting things, and that's absurd since it's defeated by OCR. It's extremely

It largely depends on what you want and where the items are in their warehouse network. Also depends on item size too it seems. A good amount of items I’m looking at I can still get next day here in Fort Lauderdale, but not everything. I wa

Plenty of other providers/projects are able to geo/load-balance based on many other factors, like request IP. I dunno, I just feel like it's a dumb hill to die on.

You're using 1.1.1.1 for your DNS resolver. Archive.is has this hatred with them, and purposely serves a bad record to Cloudflare's resolver as a "retaliation." The SSL error you're seeing is because they (that is,

You have the problem that too much information will just get skipped over by the user too. It has to be the right length of text if you want to try and get them to read it.

As much as I want this rumor to be true, the leaker that “leaked” this has a terrible track record. Furthermore, what he “leaked” is something already in iOS 13 thats meant to be a companion app to Xcode for some debugging stuff.

I can write code with it, and execute on it in some cases. For example, I find myself using Swift Playground to quickly test out some code I’m tinkering with and run it on device. Or Pythonista/the other interpreters on the App Store.

HN comment sorting is weird. It’s not based solely on upvotes, as far as I can guess. Probably a mixture of upvotes/downvotes/flags much like the homepage is.
