When the cost of drilling oil and converting to gasoline outweighs the cost of manufacturing hydrogen, the current oil giants will pivot. This will drive (current) costs down. They’re not going to allow their businesses to fail.

Integration with boost asio would be of interest to many - myself included. It is the defacto for anyone who’s got past Stephen’s Unix Network Programming. It would gain a level of trust with developers.

I’ve spent a lot of time with boost asio and serialisation of objects into a boost variant to send that across the wire. The server vists the variant to process the message. Including boost shared memory for file data. Both for unix domain

That’s very cool. I wonder how much effort would be needed to read resources from a resource fork (.rsrc) to create UI. If it could be done, ResEdit could be used :-)

That was my favourite Minter game. You can use a C64 emulator to run it. If you have Kodi connected to a TV you can use a Bluetooth controller.

Quite likely, like any tank. However the tanks are intended to be allow the occupants to survive when hit.

It can be a file system. I’ve written my own FUSE that uses Rabin Chunking and stores the data (and meta) in S3. The C++/AWS SDK FUSE is connected to a Go SMB server that runs locally on my Mac and works with (local) TimeMachine. I use

I use Obj-C++ so I can mix the two languages ad-hoc. I’ve done it this way since the days of NeXTStep. This allows me to use existing code bases and SDKs, such as the AWS one.

I use it in preference to WhatsApp or Telegram - unless it’s a group chat or I’m sending a message to a non-iOS friend. There’s zero need to make a version for Android when there are plenty of alternatives.

I worked at TomTom on the Home application. There was a similar problem with map updates where the payload was XML. The devices only needed a sub-range of the XML so I used an XML parser to ignore everything until I got the tag needed then

With the right team, I’d offer it’s more productive than a cubicle farm where folks are having impromptu meetings. I think part of this is that when someone wants something, they have a little time to compose their thoughts.

I know, from personal experience, that a lot of C64 games were written on PCs, cross-assembled and squirted to the C64 target. This included graphics. Circa 1989 so it was the backend of C64 development.
