UPI is not mandatory in India, don't know where and why such a message circulates. If I am benefitting with Credit Cards at petrol pumps, I deliberately use it and there's no concern from anybody. Merchants prefer UPI (for now) be

I am wondering, HN can spawn a few subreddit like channels maybe with Image, Video support later. HN is the best place in internet that encourages good discussions, reddit communities can vastly benefit from the familiar UI experience, good

A polished UI is only what you are looking at, not what is underneath. You have failed to understand the years and years of hardwork poured by vast majority of OSS that helped building all the systems that underpin every single system out t

I second this, since it is an app an online payment makes most sense. A simple donation button with paypal/venmo (or something the locals use) would make reasonable money to cover monthly infra expenses at least.

The economy was bouncing back from the housing collapse and it's massive ripple effects. The promising tech was Mobile Phones. Everybody wanted a piece, Nokia tried so much with Symbian OS, Samsung came up with Wave OS. Microsoft pushe

Haha. Well I agree with the reasons for difference in pay gap. My suggestion is why not make those metrics public as well, people can see for themselves if it related to working hours, output, level of risk etc.

Wow, that is impressive. Norway is surely advanced in humanities. So, why not publicise the performance metrics of the employees as well? Not public at least accessible like what you mentioned on salary. I'm not questioning why Norway

Such people you define will either be a toxic manager working their way through middle management or some mean worker who's an absolute jackass to work with. Nobody wants to work with such people. Every company has them, but a respecta

I don't know the situation of South Korea to comment on this topic. But, with the corporate industries talking too much about transparency it seems no one has come to identifying the cause of wage gap. Why not make the salary transpare

I didn't like dark mode since the beginning, it was too much effort on my eyes. During the day, the room is well lit, why do we need a dark mode at all. And when it is night, we probably shouldn't be working. Or at least switch on

When you put all this in perspective, it makes sense. Electricity usage will probably tripe or quadruple and I think we can handle that. But I'm going to miss the sweet petrol and diesel engine cars.
