It's completely okay for people who are not you to have requirements and preferences that are not yours. If you don't like HaikuOS, don't use it.

Was just explaining to my offspring about how Apple was looking to buy Be Inc. back before Jobs returned and they allowed themselves to be bought by NeXT. Sort of a fun complete-circle: Be ports BeOS to PowerMacs, Apple passes on buying B

I have very good memories of each of these machines, though it was really the TI PC I used myself. The DEC Rainbow was a bit pricey for me, but I did have a fair amount of CP/M software, so the idea of having CP/M-80 and DOS on

It's not only non-phoned accounts, I have a 20+ year old account from the Beta that just got its storage limit reduced. As well as the 17 year old account I made for open source projects when I was at Linden. Both accounts have working

Everyone likes to dunk on AWS and GCP, and AWS billing is sometimes problematic, but I've never had Amazon say "the price for this service is $2 per month" and then when you enable it have it balloon to $20 per month. There

I saw you post "lambda is awesome" and was going to reply with "only in certain circumstances." But you beat me to it. After about a year of poking lambda to see how it actually worked (versus how it was documented) and

I tried scaleway about 7 or 8 years ago and it was still pretty rough. And setting up with them required multiple trips to government portals to get id documents they would accept. Being European, they don't know how to scan the bar

The final shot of the sequence runs from about :44 to 1:06. I'm talking about the bit that STARTS at :44, after the cut. I think you're talking about the sequence before the SHOT.
