Whether it will have that many users in a few months is anyone's guess. This feels kinda like the flappy bird craze, albeit a little less silly...

Isn't the Pixel fairly well supported in terms of custom ROMs which in turn unlock access to more recent security updates?

I gave up on NixOS years ago. It doesn't matter how many nice ideas you have, even revolutionary ones, when the core experience is just such a giant PITA.

You should try reading the self-authored "paper" the author of that op-ed linked to from said op-ed. It's...not great.

So, just switch to Vivaldi. Same renderer and JS engine as Chrome but the devs have drawn a line in the sand about stuff like manifest v3: https://www.zdnet.com/article/opera-brave-vivaldi-to-ignore-...

Since moral standards vary a lot across cultures and time, statements like your last line have dubious longevity. Even when it comes to unpleasant people like Moldbug I try to avoid talk of moral standards beyond the really clear-cut ones..

I work at a company that does DERMS projects in this space (peak shaving, load balancing, power factor optimization, voltage support, etc, etc). It's not that no one talks about this stuff, it's just that it's as with all thi
