Let's centralise the interwebs! It seems like a bad idea, but they do have a point. Maybe when referencing a link also make a small note to one of these archive sites?

I'd love to look at some numbers. I'd say that his message gets to more and more people and the current circumstances are making free software more relevant than ever. I think the ratio of people caring (or not caring) is the same

The idea was to celebrate the day he prevented a nuclear holocaust. Talking about st. Peter and Paul, it's not only celebrated by the orthodox churches, but also in the west: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feast_of_S

Gnome 3 sucks without good graphics drivers, it's very laggy and feels heavy. On my laptop with Radeon HD 3200 using the open source drivers (from Fedora 19) it's hardly usable and spins the hell out of the fans. Thanks god for MA

They work in all modern browsers, they do not work in certain (very) old versions of curl, wget, android etc.[1] They should be alright for most stuff, especially for personal use. And they're free because it costs them nothing to issu

The idea of flying car, while very nice and present in many scifi creations should not happen, at least not with humans controlling it manually. We have already countless idiots on the roads, I don't want them in the air as well; I

As in the whole situation is surreal: - high unemployment = no money - entertainment needs + no money = piracy And now they've come up with jail time. Awesome. I wouldn't like to be the spanish gov right now.

Really? Cause it looks to me like USA is doing exactly whatever the fuck it wants. In the end a lot of this is done behind the scenes, EU spirit may be OK, but the signing is done by people and people can be threatened, bribed etc.

I'm still not wrong. :) Pkgng itself seems like it's working, but bootstrapped fresh on a FreeBSD 9.1 it provided a non-existing repo: [root@freebsd91 ~]# cat /usr/local/etc/pkg.conf packagesite: http:/&

I take it you are OK with _lawful_ spying by the NSA? I do not believe them the fingerprint is not stored. People claim just a hash is saved, maybe - but what is stopping the gov for example to use the same algorithm and hash their existing

There you go, more proof that most people don't give a shit about surveillance, privacy and the lot. Here it is, the one device that can create the biggest fingerprint database in the world sold 9 million units in a couple of days. NSA

Been using 4.2.2.2 (and 4.2.2.3) for almost a decade now. In recent years I stopped using them though because of privacy and reliablility causes; I usually setup a caching server on the local host or network.

Yes, this is in no way encouraging, but at least it's GPL and as long as they pay the developer I won't mind. If they stop its development I'm sure Redhat or IBM will pick it up.
