On windows you shouldn't be able to do (most of) these directly with apps running under admin, though that's a small consolation when the browser is a normal process. I'm not sure if we'll get away from these anytime soo

I switched over this year on a paid plan, still on trial period, may switch back to PrivateEmail. PrivateEmail was kinda sketchy security wise (e.g. you can turn on MFA but SMTP has no MFA and same password) but never had any problems there
