There is usually a way to restructure the code so that it doesn't have multiple levels of nested indentation, which is a good practice IMO because it makes the code easier to read.

I would consider it a downside to consumers if there are no savings or benefits passed on; they are paying in opportunity cost. I'm assuming there are other efforts that would be beneficial to consumers that Apple is not spending time

Could you share your ideas? I've had a few that I don't think are monetizable either but help solve personal problems, like something to help normalize recipes for cooking and to help remember things around home/health mainte

That already exists too, but it's also poor UX because it processes your response slower than a person would, and it sometimes misunderstands what you're saying or asks you to repeat. For the sake of argument, we can imagine the E

I've come up with a few minor ideas, mostly for around the home. I created a little web app (that I just run locally for now) where I can give it a recipe url and it will fetch the content and feed it to the LLM and adjust it to my coo

IVR is not a good example because it's an annoying interface that people sometimes have to deal with when calling companies. It actually offers pretty poor UX, because users sometimes know what they want when calling but have to wait t

What does a "country model" mean? Optimized for that country's specific language, or with state propaganda or something else?

Thanks for the info, so you're talking about adjusting or replacing the UX based on user feedback. It makes sense now, but I guess I was imagining something different when you mentioned reinforcing inaccurate mental models.

Fortifying foods with nutrients is not a new concept (bread, cereals, etc), and I don't have any studies on hand but my assumption is that since it's been done for decades, it must have noticeable benefits to public health.

Just curious, could you give a specific example where you've found it's better to reinforce an inaccurate mental model of the software? And how do you go about it?

Here's a grim example where being poor leads to being more expensive. An $80 tooth extraction would have avoided $250,000 in hospital care costs. https://perspectivesofchange.hms.harvard.edu/node/165

I don't know of examples on a massive scale but I know there are lots of firefighters (and probably police) that live 1-2 hours away from their station. They are priced out of the neighborhood and even neighborhoods surrounding the one

Indenting is not hard, and programmers should be good at it, provided they care about clean code. I like that Python forces indentation rules because it means I'll never have to read code that has confusing/improper indentation. E

Good point. Are you saying that one can agree with all the premises and conclude it will cause hardship to future generations but ultimately don't change behavior because it's part of their core identity?
