Right. It's bit packing and unpacking. Currently dealing with a 32 bit system that needs to pack 8 11 bit quantities each subsisting of 3 multi bit values into a 96 bit word. As you can imagine, the assembly is a mess of bit manipulati

Figures 8 and 9 show that both volumetric and thermal efficiency can be improved with nonzero ethanol in the right circumstances. Increasing efficiency metrics, while combining figure 7's showing that you get more power with ethanol, m

But look at figure 8. At 40%, volumetric efficiency is at its peak. It's very important to note that these results are neither monotonic nor linear, so while the public only has access to E85 and E10/E15 (at least where I've

The following link has some charts for just the ethanol. They look about as expected. Some things get better the more ethanol you use, some get diminishing returns, some have an inflection point and get worse, some are just worse as you inc

I like commits like this. Removes unnecessary work, easy to understand optimization, 40 lines gone 32 added so net smaller codebase, which usually means easier to maintain. Has ample comments and even uses one of my favorite tricks to do a

I think there's ambiguity. An app built for a platform that does xyz. Does the app do xyz, the platform, or both? If I build an app that takes you straight to idk a Treasury department website, have I built an app for a platform that t

I mean maybe. We often have weekly customer meetings. One of my programs has 2 customers, we meet with both weekly. So do I put idk 200+ customer meetings? That seems like a weird metric because it's like "compiled code 400 times.

Hmmm disagree on your chain there. Plenty of easy hardware algorithms are hard for software. For example, in hardware (including FPGAs), bit movement/shuffling is borderline trivial if it's constant, while in software you have to

I'm sure it depends on who's teaching the class and what curriculum they follow, but we were doing piecewise linear functions well before differentiation so I think I do actually disagree as per your caveat. It's also possibl

Just to be clear, some micros (STM32s come to mind) have what they call "on the fly decryption" for external flash. Basically, if the micros wanted to, they would. I think ESP32s are also using qspi flashes but they're integr

It's 1 watt per antenna. They have 240, or 53.8 dbm. So assuming 39.3 and your 283 (which seems to be around what I'm seeing online) that's -283+(39.3*2)+53.8=-150.6 dbm receive power. That should be plenty.
