I wonder if there's a marketing reason for not shrinking the lenses. A big lens screams "better" more than a smaller lens at a casual glance for the uninitiated user.

I bet some people got offended by the techbro moniker, but it seems pretty warranted considering the underhanded tactics of these companies and their employees.

The majority of accounts out there don't have anything of value. If it gets pwned the person just resets their password and calls it a day (in fact due to the lack of password manager their usual workflow is to reset the password anywa

Nowadays yes, since they need to justify the jobs of hundreds of Javascript developers. But there was a time when their app was native and was actually quite good.

Technology moved from being a tool to an ad delivery vehicle. Tools' success metric is how much they make your task easier/faster. Ad delivery machines' success metric is how much of your time they waste. Shitty UI making you

In my case it was less about the discussion of the tinkering and more the tinkering itself. I'd spend all my blogging time tinkering with the site, to the point where it's never ready and never actually deployed. As of right now i

Same experience here, both with Deliveroo and Uber Eats. I'm surprised this doesn't get them in trouble on libel/defamation bases.

Both can be true - in periods of high contention the priority delivery works as you'd expect, but in periods of low contention (where orders are not bundled anyway) the priority delivery option is still there, still costs the same, but

No but it significantly raises the effort for collecting said money. The company would need to have a strong case (that they need to be able to defend in court if necessary) to do it. No scummy company relying on dark patterns/etc to c
