This should be quite easy to fix, one would think. If the name can't resolve to a model class then it should be very vocal about it (i.e. throw error). I think you should create an issue for it on Github if there's not one already

I really wish there was some thorough examples of using Ember + Ember-Data. Ideally it would be backend agnostic (mocked client side xmlhttprequest) and go from doing simple things like saving a model all the way to doing more complex thing

Do you even /need/ a backend though? It would be much simpler if you keep it entirely client side, using something like Pretender ( https://github.com/trek/pretender ).

You're referring to "jank" when additional content is added to the page, which to my understanding isn't what this library remedies.

As an aside: if you want to use JS /today/ as an OSX Window Manager (hotkeys, resizing, switch screen etc), you should check out: https://github.com/sdegutis/Phoenix I've been using it for a couple of mo

Cars all have four wheels; yet they are very different. Same goes for programming languages, perhaps even more so. Ecosystem matters. Syntax matters. Available programmers matters. It's not "all the same shit".

> (..) largescale backbone apps Having built some what large backbone-apps, and then moving on to more mature frameworks, I personally think backbone apps just don't have the correct building blocks to scale. For instance: data boun

As a counterweight: I'm not a crazy smart developer, and I use those features. In production. Now. I'm not going to argue against your point though, because I think you are right. One needs to have some grasp of the JS ecosystem t

Sure — I guess it's nice that Dart comes with a lot of useful things built in. Outside of Dart we already have pretty good solutions for Promises (with Promise A+ compatible libs; Q, RSVP etc) and modules (ES6 modules, Require etc), wh

Most new things are inspired by something else to the extent that they can be viewed as reinventions. So that's a moot point, and doesn't contribute at all.

It's shit like this, HN. Why you guys make this nonsense end up on the frontpage is honestly beyond me. So this guy re-implemented the most useful grunt tasks in his own language. Grats. You've wasted time instead of using Grunt.

Not often I see tools announced with such a thoroughly researched article. Great stuff! I guess the problem these build tools are facing is the amount that people have invested in Grunt. There are just /so/ many grunt tasks at thi

Maybe it's just because I haven't gone full circle yet, but working with Ember I really feel I can focus on the domain issues and creating a great app. With Backbone -- and the bunch of BB extensions (Marionette etc) you need to b
