I did similar on 123 Reg a few years ago to rescue a client. Their ex IT guy had half transferred their domain from namecheap to 123, changing the IPS tags to 123 but not accepting from 123's end. Then he got fired. The NS's were

This will save lives. However I imagine most people will end up getting the Oxford vaccine, that doesn't have the storage requirements or need a second dose and is a fraction of the cost.

I kind of agree, I don't want to have to click through warnings all the time to do my job. Just re-architect everything to have legit public domain names and network access to get a let's encrypt cert, yeah right I'll get rig

It's already in production pending approval, which is set to be fast tracked to "save christmas" Personally I would argue that the standards should be kept to even when the world is on fire, I mean they do exist for a reason.

I used Rackspace from 2012-2017 ish and it went noticeably downhill during that time. I had Linode servers at the same time and they had better uptime and better support for a fraction of the price, so that’s where I moved everything. No re

There was a really good Al Jazeera documentary about ship breaking called Brothers, but it’s been taken off YouTube for some reason sadly.

Scrambling to reach someone over difficult terrain also carries risk to life. As does being unable to reach patients for 90 minutes whatever the emergency.

I understand that what the cows eat has a large effect on the taste of the milk, so if the cows are milkers that’s an issue to be overcome.

I remember when I was growing up in the UK in the 80’s we had siren tests from time to time. It seems strange now living in the real Cold War.

Almost half of that is an EC2 instance to run a reporting tool. 5$ DO instead? Also, 5$ a month for DNS hosting when DO will do that for free?

BSFC as in horsepower generated per unit of fuel tends to be better in Diesel engines, but they’re heavier because the combustion events are more violent, requiring a stronger block and pistons.

Pause command - I usually hit home, insert a # then enter then man then get the command back and continue. Or tmux it. Didn't realise zsh had that shortcut.

I think thats disengenuous by Apple. Security gets you 5%, maybe 10. Not 30%. Let's face it their service to developers isn't exactly first rate.

I got a cheap Lantronix Spider KVM from eBay, it works quite well. Mine was an older VGA model but you can use it with a DP or HDMI to VGA adapter.

Yes thermal efficiency is a common rating for engines that work by burning fuel to make heat then turn that into useful power. You take the theoretical energy in a litre of fuel and work out how much of that the engine can convert into usef

2000 was so stable, and ran well in 128mb ram. It also introduced Active Directory with group policies, which still runs the majority of business Windows networks today (*source: I made that up)

I remember these from the 90's, we knew someone who dealt them. There was a little card/PCB type hybrid thing and every now and then they'd change something about the encryption and you'd have to go back and get the card

Are you sure Tesla batteries are structural? They don’t look it and I haven’t heard that claimed before. Lowering at speed has been around for a long time it wasn’t invented by Tesla.

I don’t think this is a meaningful example, the canon does not need to take 128 pics to reduce noise in the first place since it has a massive sensor.

I would personally always have an off-platform backup to fall back on, as protection against the platform going down, accidental damage to data or malicious damage to data. Snapshots in cold storage too.
