As a casual user of Nerves, it's the easiest way of getting Elixir code running on a clean RPi system. I don't want to install a stripped down Linux myself, then install Erlang and Elixir, then transfer the built code every time a

If you're interested in seeing a (toy) example project in Nerves, I implemented my own version of an old Finnish reaction speed game [0]. It runs on an RPi0W that I had lying around and has a live score display over WiFi (using Phoenix

Note that you are responsible for checking some company and trademark registers for clashes with existing names before registering a .fi domain. With a quick check there is at least one trademark close enough that it could theoretically cau

Seems like this still doesn't fix the infamous "1E1" == "010", which I guess can't be fixed without breaking a lot of old code and assumptions.

I did some quick calculations out of interest. It seems our sink fits about 25 liters of water. Let's say half of that volume is taken by dishes, so 12.5 liters. You need a second sink for rinsing unless you run the tap (which would be

As a person who has never bought a UPS, this behaviour of turning off power when the battery dies even though there is mains power is unintuitive, and I would have most likely hit the same issue. I see the post title as a PSA, in that if yo

That's a bit exaggerated. In OP's case, Plausible is one <1 KB file and it's easier to set up that than a log parser. My personal favourite thing about analytics that I haven't seen log parsers do is live statistics,

Looking at the content, it's mostly complaints about Reddit, conspiracy theories, and right wing politics. Doesn't look like a return to the Reddit that GP was reminiscing about.

I can't help but think of Ariane V and its famous launch failure due to a programming error. I hope Ariane RISC-V fares better. ;) (Ok, the rocket platform has been reliable since 2003, but that ruins the joke.)

The thing about gifts is that the person wishing to give one needs to ask proactively how to do it and then you can give e.g. your bank account details to that person only. You cannot put your bank account or instructions how to ask publicl

It's true that at my scale it would likely never be noticed. Personally I just don't like the risk even if small. But when looking at OP's case, that would absolutely be noticed by the tax authorities and they'd have to
