Not to mention Ubuntu included ZFS by default since 2016. I still remember all the doomsday predictions people made back then. People on HN and proggit kinda suck at legal

Isn't that because non-alcoholic beer is a much smaller market and moves way less volume? Same reason why buying aluminum extrusions and matching fasteners costs the same as buying an entire 3D printer and dismantling it to recover the

What are your resource limits and threat model? I hate X11 and C as much as any other human, but let's be real: - If your hardware can decode video, it can probably deal with X11 - As you noted, security is easy if you never have to co

Meh, the ToS is unenforceable and VPNs with residential IPs are not that expensive. Sure it's little harder to scrape than HN for example, but everyone trains on twitter data (along with everything else on the internet)

IMO this should not have been removed. The early bird sale ends today and there's clearly a lot of interest in the bay area. The website is more clear about what to expect than it was a couple of months ago when that post was submitted

You must be using an unusual definition of subsidy. Gasoline is heavily taxed just about everywhere. Anyway shifting around the costs doesn't change the fact that paying ~30% in fees is very inefficient
