He was told 6 billion could solve the famine, plan says it's only 43million people. And the plan is barely a sketch on a napkin.

Apparently arrow functions makes it much easier to implement browser fingerprint compared to using React Components.. w

Less or more it’s likely to happen, and could have been expected 2-3 years ago. Especially with https://github.com/facebook/prepack . They want to eventually ship pre-compiled components rather than React.createElement(

I’m huge fan of Alacritty - https://github.com/alacritty/alacritty Has some nice customizations, and doesn’t slow down with massive huge stdout. Smooth scrolling is also a nice benefit

From a title I thought it will be Doom running in Emacs.

I mean, that’s a fair point… leisure activity, whatever it is, is required for rest and to avoid burndown

This week just keeps giving. Google outage, 2Tbps DDoS, FBI mail scam and now this? This one sounds most interesting so far.

I always thought that’s how it’s supposed to be. You write it directly, and his/her/its managers can see it too (optionally - yours too). I can see why that’s done - usually it’s to understand who gave the review (if we talk about

2015’s update of Javascript makes frameworks obsolete? Really? And ES2015 isn’t latest spec/implementation, ES2021 is. But okay, let’s ignore that. So, these are main features why frameworks are dead: - Default parameters - Template li

Just because you are intelligent in one field doesn’t necessarily mean you are intelligent in others. I personally need to rewrite text 4-5 times for RFC/Proposal PRs. I would assume English isn’t their native language, but’s on line b

Wolt takes 30% from order.
82.
by NaughtyShiba 5y ago
Wolt charges 3 euros for McD delivery, because McD refuses to pay 30% tax. It's end-user who pays Wolt tax, rather than restaurant.

I once had twister ankle, so couldn't bother walking 3min to pizza place. It took 30mins to deliver it by car, and it arrived cold.

by NaughtyShiba 5y ago
Most other deliveries are cheaper even if they are 15mins driving distance. And some of them are free. The only reason McDonalds delivery is 3euros, because they refuse to pay 30% tax - so Wolt puts that tax on end-user.

by NaughtyShiba 5y ago
Pretty much everything else is under 1.5 euro or free.

As almost-daily user of Wolt, I'm interested to see how this will impact me. Maybe I finally won't have to pay 3 euros for McDonalds to get delivered for a 10minute walking distance.
