2015’s update of Javascript makes frameworks obsolete? Really?
And ES2015 isn’t latest spec/implementation, ES2021 is. But okay, let’s ignore that.
So, these are main features why frameworks are dead:
- Default parameters
- Template literals
- Multi-line strings
- Destructuring assignment
- Enhanced object literals
- Arrow functions
What kind of functionality they provide, which for, otherwise you would use React (it’s a lib) or Angular? None.
And then in contradicts itself:
> React—isn’t really a framework at all. At best, it’s a library that developers use for learning to build their own, highly-specialized JavaScript frameworks.
> The other big JavaScript framework—React—suffers from a different set of problems.
And why even mention AngularJS and Angular@2.0.0? They have been dead for years. Angular@13.0.0 was released not long ago.
It feels like, author has biased hate towards Javascript.
