My opinion on this is that it's purposefully slower to browse through titles so you can't ever create a full mental map of all available titles. That way it feels like you could still find something new if you just tried harder.

The actual point is that this is a classic social battle: One person is offended having to adjust to X and the other person is offended if they don't adjust. So how do we solve this, who is objectively right? Either you put maximum val

If the team was truly so tight knit then you wouldn't need to write an email to convey that you are leaving. I'm personally always flabbergasted by people who write company wide farewell messages. It's a net negative for the

The fact that they don't have a simple price cap setting proves to me that they have no intention of being on my side. Promises of businesses that they won't increase prices are .. well, it just means almost nothing to me. It'

You are effectively absolving the parents of responsibility even at ages as low as 3-4(!). I'll say this: I think it's very fashionable to put no guilt on anyone ever even when it's objectively clear who's guilty. Same g

I really wonder how an HTTP application doesn't suffer from performance hits when it's based on 2000 micro services. Lets say even just 30 of those get used by a call to monzo.com. How does this not cause at least let's say ~

I don't think it's weird, if the business is deteriorating then getting laid off is just a financial decision. The personal choice of being the target should be up for self reflection anyway (and will be, I suspect). Maybe it help

Can I ask you how large tables can generally get before querying becomes slower? I just can't intuitively wrap my head around how tables can grow from 10gb to 100gb and why this wouldnt worsen query performance by x10. Surely you do ta

What we'd really need is a well supported nix-like OS, not some unspecific "containers" on top of a base OS. I can already install containers on top of a base OS, this couldn't sound any less interesting in my opinion.
