Some people (myself at least) actually like refactoring. There is something really satisfying about coming in and fixing up a badly written Node.js codebase, breaking it up into microservices, etc. Plus if you want to be a $200+ per hour co

The algorithm is inherently flawed because it is based purely on authorship of files, and not the quality of the documentation, source code, source code comments, etc. It doesn't matter if a piece of software was written by only one pe

No, it works fine for me. The node.js livereload code running inside the container can detect the file changes just fine, and it just alerts the browser running on my host computer via a port that has been forwarded from inside the containe

AWS has documentation at varying levels. If you are looking for documentation that starts at the absolute basics, without acronyms then you are probably wanting the "Getting Started" section of their documentation site: http:

I'm using the same setup and it works great. Vagrant shares a host folder into the guest VM, and then the docker containers mount subfolders of that shared folder into the container. So you change a file on the host computer, and it re

This is very true. A drone could quite likely do maneuvers that a traditional jet couldn't do because of the limits of what the squishy human body inside can withstand. I wouldn't be surprised if in the near future we see a drone

There is a pretty simple order of operation you can target if you want: 1) As you onboard and get your environment setup simultaneously write a Vagrantfile so that you can provision a local dev environment in an automatic fashion. 2) Set up

Exactly. GPS could probably work well enough in suburbs and other areas with fairly wide spaced buildings, but in a urban environment there could easily be ten or more businesses within the margin of error for GPS location detection.

Are you hiring frontend JS devs or backend Node.js devs? If a backend dev doesn't understand the question and can't implement a basic debounce function then you are setting yourself up for a completely broken backend. I've fo
