Yeah, I know about that. It's unfortunately not as snappy or usable as Chrome's, because you can't activate the search with a single key combination. The item focus behavior is also distracting: when you type in your search,

Astral is primarily funded by venture capital firms. The head honcho, Charlie, has mentioned a few times that he’d like to develop and sell services that integrate well with Astral’s open-source tools. However, nothing concrete has been est

It's not working for me either, on FFmpeg 7.0.2. I suspect something has changed in FFmpeg since that command was shared on the Reddit post mentioned on the website. That was a few years ago. However, from the same Reddit thread, this

I could see Astral's unofficial builds becoming official at some point after they've matured a bit more.

I've wanted to use a light theme for my terminal for a long time, but I've always given up since there are just too many programs that use custom (non-ANSI) colors that are optimized for a dark terminal background. For some of tho

I've actually done this manually for my current terminal color scheme, because I could not find a single premade theme that satisfied my personal contrast requirements for all the ANSI colors.

Interestingly, this is not the case with Japanese artists.[1] I've viewed/edited/added many Japanese entries on MB, and the names and spellings for them are usually always spelled exactly as they appear on the official releas

rTorrent has been my go-to client for servers for ten years now, glad to see that the development seems to be gaining traction again! I don't use rTorrent's TUI anymore though, nowadays I just run it in the daemon mode and couple

Apparently there is partial support for it: https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/14370#issuecomment-... This should let you play a VIDEO_TS folder, ISO, or an actual disc… with the caveat that you need to

I would try updating to 0.37.0 or 0.38.0, IIRC it only started to work for me after I updated to one of those (I always build mpv from the latest commit myself, so I'm not sure which release version exactly has the crucial fixes).

Worth noting that the author of that commit has not been associated with mpv development in years.

I'm currently a happy user of 2FAS[1], any idea how Aegis compares to it? A quick search suggests that Aegis doesn't support multiple devices and is not available on desktop. [1]: https://2fas.com/

I'm trying out Warp for the first time, and an immediate accessibility issue for me is that the text is simply too small to read for a lot of the UI elements (context menu, side bar, tab bar…). The size should be configurable for all o

I've had a good experience with Podman as a Docker alternative. The Podman CLI is designed to be API-compatible with Docker's CLI, so most things should just work. The only thing I've had to change with my Dockerfiles (or Con

Switching to Starship was actually what inspired me to also switch from Bash to Fish. Purely because of the transient prompt feature, which is not supported for Bash. With the transient prompt, you can have things like Git or Kubernetes sta
