CUDA is a decided abstraction with OpenCL I wouldn’t be surprised if eventually they pick a different abstraction to describe the interface they use for writing programs

Especially since AMD and nVidia have similar costs for a GPU

CUDA is extremely simple, the classes might as well be on rails. OpenCL is like impossible without graphics and/or CUDA/distributed computing/operating system experience.

Not exactly but they give massive discounts and the tools are much more appropriate to use for late undergrads and grads.

No nvidia makes great tooling. Like as a startup if I had to pick a development tool AmD fails repeatedly while nvida tooling is like matlab level of usefulness. Those companies have money to make ‘nice’ things which open source software do

Would be very nice to have my schedule automatically managed by Siri. Already has a few nice things but I genuinely have trust issues, especially with AI.

Super book was another example of these type of devices which never got to market. Had the chance to play with the foldable devices and thought they are actually pretty great. I think these type of formats are decent for travelers.

They make people into slaves. I’d be extremely happy when Facebook gets shutdown.

I made a decent twitter esk app in a few weeks. It was pretty decent but finding active users is super challenging. If I had actual funding maybe I’d give it another try. Love the idea of having my own social media appliance.

NVIDIAs market cap is related to the extreme difficulty with producing the ASICs. Finding the raw material is basically a huge bag of worms. AI as a market is pretty promising in specific applications.

TikTok hid and I hid my profile multiple times and would hide peoples accounts when I had them on my contract list. Basically made me feel like the entire application is malicious and associated with almost all my issues.

Definitely agree. But there’s a fine line between implementing things but the difficulty being understanding long term vision and making sure short term improvements don’t actively work against the ‘ideal’. Kind of hard for newer programmer

They gave me extremely specific jobs after so I’m not gonna sue them. I was working on a specific thing in university so without illegally probing my devices they probably wouldn’t have found a good job match. The related item was on my Lin

Honestly I’ve been getting harassed by hackers and really would be excited if the United States would actively find the people bothering me and block them from the internet

Nah I got an account banned I used to like a lot for doing stuff other people did and got away with. Would have been super simple to patch the bug. Honestly made me turned off by the entire country associated with the game.

I never really got this. I always played on servers with admins. You report somebody and see what happens. Not entirely sure why any game needs anything more complicated.

Bullshit. ‘Cheats’ like wall clipping used to make the games feel like actual fun. Anyone saying otherwise shouldn’t be allowed to write software.

What about Apple illegally going through my MacBook then my Linux laptop. Forget these legal grey areas. These organizations actively deal with corporate espionage and no one does anything about it.
