TikTok hid and I hid my profile multiple times and would hide peoples accounts when I had them on my contract list.
Basically made me feel like the entire application is malicious and associated with almost all my issues.
- lelandfe 2y agoI am pretty sure that TikTok causes the iOS “Please share your contacts” modal to appear when they believe you are most likely about to tap the area where the “Agree” button appears. The amount of dark patterns they have is approaching infinity. I’ve seen some I had never encountered before.
- dataflow 2y ago(Why) is the Accept button not disabled for some initial period? It shouldn't really be possible to consent to that in five milliseconds... Alternatively: if Apple genuinely cares about its users' privacy, why doesn't it make it harder to share such data than just pressing a single button? How about typing "yes" into a box or something? If you're really benefiting from sharing your contacts, surely typing Yes isn't going to make you change your mind...

- internetter 2y agoOh my god that happened to me but i managed to overcome my ADHD and go into settings to disable it
