You mean the 'Netflix Model'? This is what they do all the time on AWS; when needed, spin up a bunch of VM's; test performance, drop the ones that perform worse and use the better ones.

A BGP problem again? Or something else this time? It amazes me that there has not been an alternative to handle routing except full trust for everyone.

Hmm, that smiley looks like th3j35t3r; I'd be weary of copying it, since so many people are after him and would go to great lengths to harm him... from what you say, you don't fit the profile, but still...

MindStorm and Scratch are great ideas. When you venture into something more real, give QuickBasic (QBasic) a shot. It was part of the Windows 95/98 Power Pack addon for free if you have one of the old cd's lying around and it'

I'd probably store cached results for Dictinary<int, HashSet<string>> allowed, notAllowed; where int == length of the user agent. This should probably be blazing fast as well instead of keep doing those lookups.

This does not mean you will get the same quality out of the box. Microsoft hand-calibrates the Surface screens indiviually before they ship, just some thing to take into account.

It's called re-targeting. You can use javascript to put users into a segment and re-target that segement; it's really easy. If you use the biggest ad-exchange (AppNexus) you can be sure to reach just about anyone anywhere.

I've used AT&T's Natural Voices SDK about 10-15 years ago? It allowed you to create your own voices, but it's a hell of a lot of work.

Minor nitpick on the screencast; when clicking save, it took 4-6 seconds for it to complete and then load another page? That's not the best way to show of your CMS and instantly makes me fear what will happen if I have a lot of content

It's called Catch-All; I have it set up for my Google For Work account (e.g. I have a gmail that receives @my domain). So, you could use gmail to catch all e-mails to @gail.com; no need for a 'custom SMTP server'.
