Cute. People guaranteeing 100% uptime. They should run for political office with ideals so peachy and clean.

Thanks for the reply. English only. The only fuzzyness I've told my users about is "phrase here"~20 which would search for the given phrase within 20 words of each other. That helps for the imperfect OCR'd documents. A l

Hey, thanks for the article. I'm still going through it now. Would it work for my scenario? I'm full text indexing large legal documents - 50 to even 300 pages. What I've been doing is just throwing the entire document (OCR)

This is a pretty solid rule. I've taken a similar approach with my kids, but they're not really old enough to report back any results. I didn't round down to 1k hours or look at 10k seriously. I've been trying to teach t

Forgive my ignorance as I'm not very familiar with golang, but what you're describing above looks (to me) like a parameterized query. Nothing real fancy about that. I'd assume that Go has support for parameterized queries alr

Another interesting thing from Civilization was the copy protection. Every so often it would ask you to guess the correct symbol off page N of the manual. If you got it wrong, rather than end your game, it simply removed all of your militar
