Let's assume that Microsoft continues their path, and eventually makes it impossible to disable ads (or at least plays whack a mole as a game of attrition, increasing the necessary effort to the point the commjnity gives up). Would you

I got hit by this fact hard on the first (and only) device I upgraded, a Surface Pro 6. Second(s) lag on just opening the Start menu with nothing else running, long delays when loading the file Explorer, I suffered through it for a bit just

Aside from a physics simulation, I'm curious as to what you think would be a positive cost benefit from that level of multithreading for the majority of game engines. Graphical pipelines take advantage of the concept but offload as muc

Not yet. But rest assured, they are just getting started. I know of one theory that suggests ATT was really just Apple preparing to launch its own Ads network. https://www.wired.com/story/apple-is-an-ad-company-now/

To be fair, that's only in part because Apple doesn't seem to have the level of device management Windows offers. Many of the solutions I've seen in the corp environment try to make up for this with some frankly janky solutio

Some folks stream VR games with a second camera on a green screen, which provides a 3rd person perspective for the audience. It's pretty incredible. I can easily see less tech savvy consumers being confused.

This is ultimately what they want: their owned walled garden, where they get to be the decider, hold the power, track the user's as first party data, etc. It makes perfect sense. They want this to be the next Android OS (with Play Stor

I agree. I recall the first time I used an Apple device after the "corner swipes" became the norm. I was shocked at how challenging it was to get right, then puzzled by the lack of any labels on what I saw. I recall thinking, &quo

Are you saying you are OK with Apple themselves being privy to this information? Honestly, I'm not sure I find their access to it any less terrifying.

If it's a game, I think the old phrase "everything is made up and the points don't matter" applies well here. It's really hard to score a phrase for truthfulness. Even among humans often it's ambiguous; we have

Yup, this is basically the best starting point. It is just a different kind of monopoly, which also often gives the illusion of achieving an elite, illustrious lifestyle when the reality is that many physicians start in serious debt.

This works when you have automated setup of the services, configuration, etc. I can't speak for you, but my home machines don't have the same love and care for that step as parts of my kubernetes cluster.

Who says it was Boeing? They're a publicly traded company; many would stand to lose a great deal of money should they go under. Then there are those that stand to gain from added chaos. Time may never tell, but let's not pretend p

FWIW, whether you use Turbo or an accelerator (i.e. Nvidia's TensorRT), there is plenty of guesswork in the prompt you want. Iterating quickly with low steps in Euler A, finding a great prompt that works, then switching to higher fidel
