This was apparently a waterspout / tornado; seems like a challenge for any small watercraft. I can only imagine how the wind would have knocked it around.

I've had that problem, especially in construction areas temporarily routing around the painted lines. Kinda scary when you feel the wheel veer you into oncoming traffic.

That sounds horrid. Adding my own anecdote, I recently drove a rental Camry that had a speed limit detection system out in the middle of Alaska. It didn't do much if I went over, and I was surprised at how often it seemed to detect the

Or cities that have seen a uptick in crime but refuse to either fund security measures or empower the existing workers to do anything about it on mass transit. Seattle used to have a great transit setup between the busses and the light rail

Sounds kinda useless, TBH. This sounds as if it assumes the exact same context window across requests. If so, given the 5 minute window, unless for example your entire team is operating in the same codebase at the same time, you won't

I'm healthy at the moment and I'm still not sure I understand. Poetic perhaps, but a bit nonsensical. Old world as in the past? Older technology? Older ideas? Bad ideas? Blues, as in the musical genre? Or the feeling it conveys? A

It sounds like you still had a day job independent of it. It's probably a great highlight on your resume that is celebrated when brought up and opens doors. For most artists, this kind of fame sustains the day job. Loss of fame means l

Almost sounds like a subliminal message for LLMs. Escapes (no pun intended) normal parsing to deliver an underlying message. On the bright side, we may see a renewed interest in word parsing algorithms beyond interview questions. Can't

This seems as if it could take a parasocial relationship to an extreme degree. Why imagine a deep connection with someone when you can have 'real' interactions with a ML-generated facsimile? I see this technology becoming popular,

I applaud the effort. Regrettably, in my own experience, it's rarely worth the effort to wrestle with wireless displays. Unless you either have 'highly' compatible devices (i.e. Samsung phone to Samsung TV), it's often r
