GitLab already has "interactive web terminals" which is basically the same thing: https://docs.gitlab.com/ci/interactive_web_terminal/

Yeah if the laptop is from 2011 and has never had the thermal paste replaced I would highly recommend it. I just replaced the original thermal paste on a Dell laptop from 2015 and temperatures dropped by ~20C. I was not expecting such a hug

Why? I assume the intention is to show these images on a webpage somewhere. WebP is well-supported by browsers and can store lossless images at better compression ratios than PNG, so why not use it? I don't think using a lossy format l

You can change the units in the top corner. It defaults to metric for me, but if your browser language is "en-US" you get imperial by default.

For me it appears in millimetres, but I'm in Canada not the US. I'm guessing the default is chosen based on your browser's language. You can change the units in the top right. Edit: I checked the page's code and it does

I keep emails in my inbox until they are no longer relevant (which may be immediately for some emails) and then 99.9% of the time I delete them. I archive maybe a half dozen emails a year, and delete the rest.

A package, especially a javascript package, is not necessarily installed to run code, at least not on the machine installing the package. Many packages will only be run in the browser, which is already a fairly safe environment compared to

My 2019 MBP has a touch bar and a physical escape key, so at least some models did have one. I agree not having it would make the touch bar way worse. As it is I don't mind it.

> We still get cathode ray oscilloscopes Do we? I was under the impression that CRTs were not being manufactured anywhere anymore. I could definitely be wrong, but I couldn't find anything with a quick search.

I have both Ubuntu and Docker Desktop set up in WSL2 on my X Elite laptop, they both work great, no issues (at least none that I have run into).

I own an A1. The only way to avoid using Bambu connect on the latest firmware is to enable Developer mode. Developer mode only works in LAN only mode. So yes, LAN only mode (in conjunction with Developer mode) is the only mode that you can

I mean yeah if you're truly the only person that has the ability to enter your house then why should you worry about home security? Nobody else has the ability to get in.

It's the other way around. You can only connect to orca slicer or other programs if you are in LAN only mode. Otherwise you need Bambu connect. Or just stay on the previous firmware version and you never need Bambu connect.

You're not wrong, but the second claim is by far the more interesting of the two, and is what I think most people would like to see proven. AI outright refusing certain tasks based on filters set by the parent company is not really new

All of these printers can be run completely offline, although then you obviously lose any network-related features such as sending prints over the network. I know that at least the Bambu printers (and I assume most others) can also be run i

This is a weird comment to make when the original comment didn't mention anxiety at all, and wasn't even worded like it was a bad experience or that they felt they were forced to stay there. Maybe they had nothing better to do, th

There's "431 Request Header Fields Too Large" which you will see occasionally. But after that 451 is the only other 400-level error code above 429. It was chosen as a reference to the book Fahrenheit 451.
