My favorite setup so far is using the Claude code extension in VScode. All the power of CC, but it opens files and diffs in VScode. Easy to read and modify as needed.

For goodness sake, this is what makes it great! This reminds me so much of the "old" internet where people would just make fun things for the hell of it.

To be fair, Google HAS shown "signs" of cracking down on this; but they haven't actually done it in any useful capacity yet. They call it "Site reputation abuse". https://developers.google.com/search

This seems like a misunderstanding of Chapman's quote. I don't think he implied a compromise on safety or reliability, just speed and handling.

I am curious, did this small business actually provide the service you were searching for or not? If they do, then it sounds like it was ultimately useful.

Google has publicly admitted they cannot reliability determine the original source of a peice if content. This is a big problem for content creators.

Why are they doing maintenance right smack in the middle of a Monday afternoon!? Losing a crap ton of money right now.

Another problem is that in some mail clients like Outlook.com, the "spam" button is actually labeled "junk". People clicking "junk" probably think they're just deleting an email.

Thanks. If it was just my wife and I like it has been, I wouldn't mind the risk. We've gotten this far. My fear is in hiring a new employee and having their livelihood dependent on my business that has a single point of failure.

I run an SEO fueled business and it scares the crap out of me; especially as we hire our first full time employee. The fact that Google could literally shut down my business at any time keeps me up at night. My business started as a hobby a

NASCAR fan here. I think when NASCAR says they are the biggest "spectator" sport they mean that their individual events attract more spectators to one spot than other sports, which for many tracks is absolutely true but misleading

Where can we send feedback and feature requests? I absolutely love this concept, but it's just lacking what I would call essential features to make it really useable. I'm sure you're working hard on it.

As an advertiser, Reddit's problem is their ad platform. It is the most awful thing I have ever had the displeasure of losing money with.

Google should offer some kind of revenue sharing (Like Youtube) to the sites it's "stealing" visitors from by showing information directly. And you should have to opt into it through something like webmaster tools.

Jesus, this would be awful. Not every email with an unsubscribe link is spam, not even close. Every time you hit that spam button you put the sender's business in jeopardy. As someone who relies on email to make their business work, I

This scares the crap out of me. There are some really shady people in my industry and I'm sure they wouldn't think twice about launching a negative SEO campaign against me. I wish Google and Matt Cutts would address this for real.

I agree that Rap Genius should have been penalized here, but so should literally every other lyrics site on the net. I've done SEO in hyper competitive spaces in the past and honestly, the system is broken. Google and Cutts love to pre

I disagree. I've been in those "4AM" situations before and handled them well. I can't interview to save my life. These are two completely different mindsets.

Not to mention getting a job or not getting a job has the potential to be life changing . There are very few developer meetings or code reviews that will have such a huge impact on one's quality of life.

I honestly cannot figure out which guy (PIH or SG) this article is "making fun of" (maybe it's both?). I've read it twice now, and it can kind of go both ways. Maybe that's the point.
