Then criticizing the President for promoting drugs that haven't been shown to work is non-partisan as well. Can't have it both ways. I find the "political" vs "non-political" distinction facile anyways.

Hm - 10 as of a few weeks or so ago, I doubt we will see any more and certainly not 2-3x more. That 10/800 = 1.2% and the cruise ship skewed older. 100 people entirely unaccounted for would only impact spread rates, not CFR, unless the

The President shouldn't be recommending unproven drugs, he should be communicating what we know and what to do now.

A cruise ship skews older and most people from Diamond Princess should be out of it by now.

It is quantifiable, however it appears that periods of economic decline are strongly associated with decreased mortality rates, at least according to the best evidence I can find from Nature.

Spain and Italy have fatality rates of 10% because the infection exploded far before they could ramp up testing capacity, so they were only testing the people who were in serious medical distress. This is obvious if you compare the numbers

> Our concern is a supply chain meltdown when you have millions infected and sick. This is an absurdist prediction - we are looking at maximum 2 million 75+ year olds dying with some much smaller number of people of different ages. This

I disagree - I think the comment is not implying the guild is addressing any problem at all and makes it quite clear that the guild is the cause of the problem. They are not saying that doctors invented PAs to solve the chronic shortage, th

As just another random instance, I updated my MacOS about a year ago and now I can only change the last 3 parts of my MAC address, the remainder appear to be fixed. I know my hardware has the ability to change my entire MAC address - I don&

Sure, but changing C-suite compensation from being stock-based won't change the dynamic around buybacks because the buybacks are pushed by the owners not just the management .

The evidence is not nearly as clearcut as you suggest and periods of economic decline are actually associated with lowered mortality rates.

The US justice system in general is pretty sympathetic to drivers in general, I doubt a case like this would see over a year of jail time here, and likely none at all.
