Android has system-wide animation speed settings intended for development testing. I set them all to double speed, so now my phone has nice animations and a decent response time. Results may vary with slower phones.

Theoretically yes, but the hardware cost of encoding their microscopic, in streaming terms, number of videos would have to be absurd to even come close to the savings they get from lowering their bandwidth by 20%.

This is fascinating, I'd never heard of tin whiskers before today. From a short look at the literature, nickel-palladium-gold alloys seem to be an alternative lead-free finish that doesn't suffer from whiskers. Have you worked wit

I didn't fully appreciate RJ45's failings as a connector until I had to put terminate some cables myself recently. I have a new respect for network techs, because wiring those things is a massive pain.

Isn't it possible that consumers don't like needing separate proprietary chargers for iPhones, but it's a small enough part of the overall iOS experience it doesn't noticeably harm sales? After all, phone ecosystems are

Your thinkpad probably isn't even an IBM product. Lenovo bought them in 2005 and they've done a much better job than IBM would have--IBM sold the division in the first place because they had no vision for it at all. They've b

I don't think Jugaad is a significant factor in that disparity. China has a similiar, and arguably much worse, widespread philosophy called Cha bu duo (close enough)[1], and it doesn't seem to slow them down much. [1] https:/

Tests like DiSC and Meyers-Briggs are hard to disprove because they make contradictory, non-falsifiable claims. This is part of what makes them appealing: there's something identifiable for everyone in most of the profiles, and stuff
