Removing support for those particular codecs isn't the end of the world. YouTube, Disney, Netflix, Prime Video (ie. the largest video streaming sites) all use open codecs and thus are unaffected by Fedora/Suse's decision.

The problem isn't just Ruby speed, it's that GDScript exists and Ruby doesn't really offer any benefit over it. If there were no scripting language, sure, hook up Ruby. But GDScript is good.

Yes it does also apply to pasteurized cheese. But pasteurized cheese is safe at any age (young ones safe because of pasteurization step, older ones because of good bacteria). And slightly less flavourful.
