You're looking for the Boeing X-45 UCAV (test program completed mid-00s) and the Boeing Phantom Ray (current project).

Do civilian government employees even get a pension plan anymore? I got an offer a few years back from a three letter agency in DC and I'm pretty sure they just had a 401k.

I can't speak for the others, but UPS definitely doesn't use climate controlled facilities or well ventilated trucks. In particular the semi trailers that transport packages between facilities are saunas in the summer and ice box

I’d be utterly shocked if you’re correct. Controlled substances most likely do get some kind of kind of courier delivery, but there’s no reason to do it for anything else. If it needs to stay cold you slap in an insulated box with ice packs

I don't think autopilot programs are anywhere close to that complex. All the ones I've seen had modes like "hold course and speed" or "follow a series of pre-programmed waypoints". Some military aircraft will

Basically all of your popular and widely used libraries support Core at this point. Also, starting with either Core 2.0 or 2.1 you can use most packages targeting .NET Framework with Core, and ~80% of them (IIRC) are supposed to be fully c

Bear in mind that UPS’ (and I’m sure Fedex too) entire operation is in motion 24/7. The brown trucks return to base full of packages, most of which need to be pushed upstream to regional sort facilities to go to other areas. Those re

Worked at UPS from ‘03 - ‘05. I can tell by the labels and codes on the packages I get that not much has changed since then. Didn’t know anything about programming at the time, but I still spent plenty of shifts daydreaming about how the jo

I have a hard time believing that the reduction is anywhere near substantial enough. Friction heating was a major issue for high speed aircraft like the SR-71, and they "only" fly at ~3500 km/h at 20+ km altitudes.

My parents bought a new 2018 Camry a few weeks ago that came with a manual roughly an inch thick. Expecting anyone to read it is bordering on delusional. I say this as someone who often does read manuals (because I’m a nerd).

Seems extremely cost prohibitive. In addition to the extra rails and control systems, you’d need a high speed locomotive and several cars for every single station along the route.
